Do You Preview My Image before Printing?
Getting the print to match what you see on your monitor is nearly impossible unless you had your monitor calibrated by us. We will make your print look as good as it possibly can. Quality and customer satisfaction is very important so if one slips through, your satisfaction with the print is still guaranteed. Please note with art reproductions we can only assume the way the image looks on our screens is correct and we have not way of telling how accurate your image color really is. With photographs it is easier to determine this since we are basically looking for decent exposure of the image and proper color balance.
Do you check my prints for quality after they are printed?
We check each print before it is shipped to make sure the colours match the original file sent to us. We also look for any defects on the print's surface and will correct those by reprinting them if necessary. If on the rare instance you receive a defective print or it appears we did not adequately inspect it, please let us know so we can work on getting you a replacement print. Please note simply having the print look different from your screen (darker, brighter or some color differences) is not unusual. This usually means the monitor you are viewing the image is not accurately calibrated to industry standards therefore is not displaying your image as it should.
Are your monitors and printers calibrated?
Yes, we run regular calibration checks on our monitors and run regular cleaning and calibration cycles on our printers. This is to ensure consistent results with every print job. All are calibrated to standards set by the International Color Consortium (www.color.org).
How long will it take to get my print to me?
Production takes on average 4 business days your print is typically delivered to you in a week
How are my prints packaged ?
Mounted canvas are shipped in corrugated and protected via corrugated sheets and bubble wrap.
Can you ship to a family member or friend?
Yes. When checking out, you would enter your friend or family address information as the “Ship To” destination. You can also request drop shipping on the final review page which will tell us not to include any purchase information. With the drop ship option selected a generic packing slip is included but without any pricing information. In addition, we will print your billing address on the return address label and not include any information about this site.
Can I order more than one print at a time?
Absolutely. Click the option in the menu to order a print once you have added your first print to your shopping cart. After adding a print to your cart continue to do so until you have ordered all the prints you want.
How good will the print look?
How it appears on your screen versus how it will print is determined by the following:
- The resolution of your file
- Your Computer's Display Settings - (how your monitor is calibrated)
What kind of canvas do you use?
We use Satin Gloss Canvas. We have tested many canvases and choose Satin Gloss Canvas for its rich vibrant color. We coat it with non VOC water based lacquer for increased UV protection and superb abrasion resistance.
Do you apply a coating to the canvas to protect it?
All canvas prints will be coated with an clear coat finish to help diminish the potential smudging and scuffing. This coating will give the print a nice luster to the image as well. Even with a finish, prints with the matte option should be handled more carefully since the matte coating (in order to keep it from developing a glossy sheen) cannot be applied as robustly as a print with the luster option.
Can I clean my print?
We recommend a dry dust cloth or feather duster. Canvas displays are usually not placed behind glass so it is possible to attract environmental dust. A dry dusting is usually preferred but a slightly damp non-abrasive soft towel or sponge is okay too. Just try to avoid any chemical solutions.
What type of ink do you use?
The inks we use are water based pigment with 100 year archival life.
Will the canvas fade over time?
If displayed out of strong direct sunlight we guarantee our inks for 100 years.
Do I need to attach anything on the back of my print to hang it up?
All of our canvas prints come ready to hang.
If you are ordering a canvas print in which the image is going to be wrapped, make sure you account for the amount of the image that wraps around the sides. Check our mounting options for the frames thickness. If you want a 16x20 with a thick wrap (1 ½ thick) and the image to wrap around, make sure your image size is the equivalent of a 19x23 to account for the sides, top and bottom of the frame.
